Hello welcome you to this section of the magazine which will talk about the real IT.  I am Gizmo and to be honest I don’t know what to write especially about IT.  It is those guys who have forced me to write in their IT magazine!! Fioufff as if they are launching the first IT Online Magazine in Mauritius……  ahhh really it is the first online IT magazine well I don’t know besides I really don’t know much about all those IT stuffs.   They just proposed me to write a few lines in their famous magazine  but I am not tempted with writing but what to do they pay well and I have kids and family.

Lets be frank who will read my section,  will I have fans? Well probably I will be invited to some red carpet functions and sign some autographs.  Who will not want that? Of course non ambitious people will not want that but whoever embark on an IT career should have an ounce of ambition and that is the spark that will keep them moving.  Look at the team that created this online magazine, don’t tell them, but they are IT freaks I heard some are still single because they do not have time for themselves let alone taking a bath and eating like normal human beings.  BUT what to do IT is such a fast moving world and worse now IT has teamed up with business both are superbly dynamic IT has facilitated nearly anyone to invest and has its own business.  The INTERNET is playing the role of a platform whereby  having a website is enough to turn your small business into an international enterprise. Communication is so easy and not only text communication even webcam and animated information can be communicated for nearly no cost at all.

All these are leaving scars on our society, many people have adopted different ways of entertainment not necessarily healthy or better entertainment.  Last time I had to go out to a wedding and I was the first one to get ready and my wife she was still at the face level of her make up ( now we have manicure pedicure and lots of cures before you can go to the wedding) , so I had to wait for her …… a long time.  Finally when she was done, I started the car but she told me to wait, I asked why she said she has to check out her farm.  What the Hell!!! Which farm darling we do not even have artificial plants in our artificial grden.  Noooo my farm on facebook!!  She removed the weeds she fed the animals and would you believe me she raised elephants on that farm, and more she stole vegetables from her friends’ farms.  Youngsters no longer go to the beach to swim on Sunday afternoons they prefer spend the rest of their Sundays in front of their pc logged on various IMs and chat rooms.

The reason is they are either the Don Juan of the NET or they need a new girl friend.  Last time I forced my kid to go to the beach with me and instead of bringing his swim suit he brought his laptop, his Ipod and Iphone.  I asked him why you bringing all these he said I have a new virtual girlfriend and I need to impress her so that she can go out with me in the real world.  I said son we are going to the beach there will be lots of girls there you can chat one in and ask her out.  Whatt!! He replied in embezzlement by justifying that hes too shy to talk to a girl without first breaking the ice by electronic means.  Is a no coming from a girl after you have proposed her less sour by a mail or message than the no coming from the same girl when you proposed her in the real world?

Good lord all those IT gadgets I sometimes ask myself if we will not need a manual guide to use the next kettle we will buy?  Yea now electrical appliances are becoming more intelligent and are a very important part of the concept Intelligent home.  You wake up because of your alarm your digital alarm clock will send a message to your toaster which will turned on automatically and your shower or bath tub will regulate its temperature automatically  so on and so on and so on and so on.

In Mauritius the number of IT training centers  that  has opened up during the past 5 years is amazing and I am sure that this amount is more than the number of student taking up IT courses.  The number of computer and computer parts that are sold each day by the overwhelmingly number of IT shops is as much as the number of pills distributed in one day in all the hospitals together.  It is a crazy world and no one can get out of this anymore, IT is another system that we are into a system that we have created a system that is supposed to at first give us more luxuries and comfort but at the end of the day we will end up in the virtual prison cell that we have created with our hands. But can we really keep our kids far from technology, the santa claus of my time gave footballs, dolls and gifts of those kinds nowadays even santa claus need to be updated with IT so that he can give you the  different versions of Iphone or Ipad or the different models of a mobile phone for example  Nokia 3254N4884i47.
But the thing is that you want it or not you will be like me, you will be forced to compromise when you see your family being absorbed in technological gadgets.  Your kid will come rushing to you dad I need the latest mobile phone. But why son the one you have is good.  Yea but its not the latest one.  But I bought you this one a few days ago.  Yea but My friend Bob has the latest version and I want one too.
